Olivier Caste is a Self-taught born on the 9th July 1970 in Neuilly sur Seine, near Paris, France. His father was a businessman and his mother a personal assistant.
At 16 years old, he was obliged to cut short his studies and seek employment. Hired at first as a simple stockroom attendant for a big ready-to-wear fashion house, he later modelled for the group for a time. His talent for business soon got him noticed and he was appointed in Belgium to develop the brand.
In 1998 a new opportunity led him in a different direction, this time to Spain where he spent the next four years. It was in this cosmopolitan environment that he became versed in real estate negotiation, where his results and his entrepreneurial skills soon saw him rise to management level. On his return to Paris he became partner in a small radio production business, becoming one of the first media advertising companies six years later.
Always looking for a new challenge, he sold his share of the company in 1999 and used this transition period to study finance and accounting, later creating his own wealth and asset management consultancy. It was at this same period, through a series of fortunate encounters, that he developed a more in depth knowledge of wine, the simple pleasures of which would become a real passion for him. Through this oenological voyage of initiation he was to completely fall in love with wine and become an avid collector.
In 2011, tired of life in Paris, he decided, with Nathalie his wife of 24 years and their 3 children, to leave everything behind to start a new life in Bordeaux to live his wine passion.
After 2 years to pacing vineyards, he organized the prestigious « Caisses Duclot » dinners before being inspired to create a company offering professional advice on purchasing Grand Crus.
